Human trafficking is slowly gaining recognition in the United States. Human/child trafficking is an issue in the United States. California, Texas, Nevada, and Ohio are hot spots for trafficking. The amount of children being trafficked is increasing.

As a teenager in the United States this topic is very sapid and inspiring. This issue needs to gain a lot of recognition quickly because of the rates. I have began to donate toiletries to a trafficking shelter. This won't be the first nor the last time I will be donating things to the shelter.
